How much does it cost to use this interface?
This web interface is currently free for non-commercial use thanks to support from UKRI and Microsoft. The service is free for users with light non-commercial use and for university students and researchers. Professional users are charged; please contact Nexsys Analytics for a demo and discussion. The portal can be customised for individual organisations if necessary. We currently license the portal to several water utilities and regulating bodies.
What is the maximum number of users I can share a model with?
Model projects or individual networks can be shared with other registered users. There is currently no limit on the number of users that share a model. As we learn about use habits and the cloud computing costs they imply, we will likely introduce some usage and model-sharing restrictions on the free version.
I've built my Pywr model in the interface, but I'd like to do my own analysis using Pywr source code. Is that possible?
You can export your model and run it offline using Pywr. You can import your model back into the interface later. This also means you can import existing Pywr models into WaterStrategy.
Does your use of open-source simulators mean my model is 'open' or 'public'?
No. Although we use open-source software, models are privately hosted and managed. Models and their data are stored securely on the cloud. Models are not 'open' or 'public'.
